The new Lloyds Banking Group
You may be aware that Banco Halifax Hispania is part of Lloyds Banking Group. HBOS has been acquired by Lloyds TSB.
In joining together HBOS and Lloyds TSB, we have created a new group company – Lloyds Banking Group.
How will this change benefit me?
The combining of HBOS and Lloyds TSB creates a new group which is well capitalised and financially strong. This strength places us in an even better position to meet the challenges of the current financial climate and any future challenges we may face.

What does it mean for me and my accounts with you?
There are no immediate changes to your Banco Halifax Hispania accounts or the terms and conditions of any of our products or services as a result of this announcement, and you can continue doing business with us exactly as you always have in branch, by phone or online.
Of course from time to time we may make changes to our products and services, and when this happens we will notify you in the usual way.
I have accounts at Halifax Spain and Lloyds TSB, can I do anything differently?
Both Halifax Spain and Lloyds TSB will continue to operate separately with different branches, phone numbers and online systems. You should continue to do business with each organisation just as you've always done.
Are my savings protected?
Yes, customers' savings are currently completely safe up to €100,000 per account holder. This is guaranteed by Fondo de Garantia de Despositos.
